(UNDATED) Here are 10 key findings from the Survey on Music Piracy:

_ 80 percent of teens have engaged in music piracy in the past six months.


_ 77 percent of born-again teens have engaged in music piracy in the past six months.

_ 8 percent of teens said both copying CDs for others and unauthorized downloading are morally wrong.

_ 21 percent of teens said that both CD copying and unauthorized downloading are morally OK.

_ 65 percent of teens have a “whatever works” philosophy, saying music piracy is not a moral issue or saying either CD burning or downloading is fine while the other is not.

_ 58 percent of teens who believe piracy is wrong had engaged in the practice in the last six months.

_ 85 percent of teens who think piracy is morally OK committed piracy in the last six months.

_ 77 percent of purchasers of contemporary Christian music have engaged in music piracy.

_ 80 percent of purchasers of gospel recordings had committed music piracy.

_ 80 percent of purchasers of worship music had engaged in music piracy.
