Bad news for the PCUSA

The Presbyterian Church (USA) got some bad news at its General Assembly in San Jose, Calif. on Saturday, according to this report.   • Liberal denominations have traded the Gospel of Christ as found in the Scriptures for a false gospel, that is not a gospel at all. I know that the PCUSA has some great men and women who are working to bring truth back to their denomination. I pray for them and read them.

    A return to the historic teachings of the Reformed Faith would be a good start, if church leaders would like to stop the descent into oblivion. They need leaders who actually believe and teach what was written in the Westminster Confession, The Heidelberg Catechism and the Canons of the Synod of Dort (not the mention the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments).

    Probably worth including in your report that entire congregations left the denomination to join the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Seems relevant. Way to miss the story.
