Don’t mean to keep harping on this but, it’s the same pattern as elsewhere: regular worship attenders for McCain, occasionals and almost nevers for Obama. But, you say, Indiana’s a big churchgoing state. You’re right, 52 percent of SUSA’s sample are in the regular category. But while they break for McCain by 16 points, the almost nevers, at 22 percent, break for Obama by 33 points–canceling out McCain’s advantage with the help of a four-point lead among the occasionals.
