Have been EXTREMELY premature, as Mark Twain might say.

Let me just set the record straight: RNS is alive and well. You may have heard this week that our sister company, Newhouse News Service, is closing. Many have asked what’s going to happen to us.

The short answer: nothing.

Religion News Service will be unaffected by the change, other than that we’ll be relocating to new office space in Washington before the end of the year. We continue to be a subsidiary of our parent company, Advance Publications, and our staff is intact. Our readers and subscribers will not notice any changes in either the quality or quantity of our award-winning daily report.
