Pope Benedict XVI probaly has a different Madonna in mind when thinking of all the world-famous women who send him personal messages.

In case you missed it, Madonna (the pop star, not the Mother of God) dedicated her hit “Like a Virgin” to the pope during a concert in Rome last weekend. From MTV.com: “”I dedicate this song to the pope, because I’m a child of God,” the singer, who comes from a devout Italian Catholic background, told the Stadio Olimpico crowd of more than 60,000, according to People.com. “All of you are also children of God.”

No sightings of the Material Girl hanging from a sequined crucifix, like during her last tour.
