Our pal Cathy Grossman over at USA Today has launched her new blog, and it’s worth a few minutes of your time as your cruise around the blogosphere …

One of her latest entries tackles the brave new world of Christian online gaming. Her story can be found here, and her online interviews with the gamers themselves are here. Here’s a teaser, in typically punchy Grossman style:

“Forget Candyland. Would you play at spiritual warfare with a board game that has a tiny plastic Jesus bashing people with the cross or Buddha mowing them down with a machine gun?Forget Candyland. Would you play at spiritual warfare with a board game that has a tiny plastic Jesus bashing people with the cross or Buddha mowing them down with a machine gun?”

Cathy explains the reasoning behind her Faith & Reason blog this way: “It’s a new place for expanded discussion of spirituality, religion and ethics-topics that have fascinated me during my 36-year-career. Why do you see the world as you do? How do your values and visions shape your life? Wondering about my own views? Ah, I have to draw the line there. If I expressed my personal views on these topics, I’d be intruding on the story and possibly skewing the discussions.

And it would spoil my fun. Honestly, what lights me up is learning what-and why-you believe as you do.”
