A man entered the Washington headquarters of the Family Research Council with a bag from Chick-fil-A in one hand and a gun in the other, spouting opposition to social conservatism and shooting a security guard before he was subdued by the wounded guard and bystanders. 

The FBI is considering charging Floyd Lee Corkins II, 28, of Herndon, Va., with attempting a terrorist act, according to WaPo. A friend of Corkins's said that he was a “fanatic of Nietzsche.”

Just 35 percent of white evangelicals, however, support for stricter gun control, compared to 62 percent of Catholics and 60 percent of the religiously unaffiliated.
