WASHINGTON (RNS) Religion News Service asked participants in the 1963 March on Washington to reflect on their lasting memories of the event, whether the Rev. Martin Luther King's dream has been achieved and how the 1963 march shaped their faith.

    The photograph used in this article is my dad & mom. That’s my dad with his pants rolled up & the back of is head, the side of my mom’s face is visible as she smiles at him. Sadly, they both have transitioned due to cancer, my dad 5 yrs ago in April & my mom this past April. I wish they were here to see this momentous occasion. Ronnie & Michele, I love & appreciate you both!
