Unity Village, Mo. Unity World Headquarters announces changes in board leadership beginning in Feb. 2014. Rev. Pat Williamson will become board chair. Rev. Patricia Bass will be vice chair.

Rev. Williamson, the senior minister of Unity Christ Church in Golden Valley, Minn. has been a board member since 2009. He served as board chair for Unity Worldwide Ministries (formerly known as the Association of Unity Churches International) in 2006-2007. He is also affiliated with the International Conference of Police Chaplains and has served congregations in Kansas City, Mo; Evanston, Ill.; and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rev. Bass was elected to the board in 2012. She served as senior minister of Unity Church of Overland Park in Overland Park, Kan. from 2004 through her retirement in September. Rev. Bass previously served as senior associate minister at Unity Church of Christianity in Houston, Texas.


“I am honored to have been elected to this position. The Unity message has certainly transformed my life, and during my 20 years of church ministry, I have seen these teachings transform hundreds of others. Our principles are timeless, and yet we must constantly look for new ways to present these principles to every generation.  This is my opportunity to give back,” said Williamson.

Unity World Headquarters is located at M-350 Highway and Colbern Road (1901 NW Blue Parkway), near Lee’s Summit, Mo. The Unity Village campus covers over 1,200 acres. The historic property has undergone extensive renovations in recent years, beginning with the restoration of the central courtyard with its inspiring fountain complex in September 2010. In September 2013, the long shuttered Tower reopened as Awaken Whole Life Center following a two-year restoration project. A full-service spa and wellness facility, Awaken Whole Life Center also operates the new Glenn H. Korff Fitness Center.

Healing Services LLC, doing business as Awaken Whole Life Center, is a standalone subsidiary wholly owned by Unity World Headquarters at Unity Village, a nonprofit religious and educational institution. Revenues from Awaken Whole Life Center will help fund infrastructure improvements on the Unity Village campus and support Unity World Headquarters mission-driven programs such as the Silent Unity Prayer Ministry and Message of Hope.
