"The Christian Oscars," or MovieGuide awards, were presented. The New Yorker tracks the rise of secularism. Also, get your Puritan Valentine's Day cards.

I am suprised that RNS neglects the ‘saint’ in ‘Saint Valentine’s Day’ . Perhaps making a subtle point in reference to the rise of secularism as reported in the New Yorker? We’ll go with that. Here’s hoping you reform your ways before Friday. In the spirit of the holiday ‘I Love You’ anyway!

“Shark Tank” was a winner in the Christian Oscars? I clicked on the link and found “Iron Man 3” also won. Interesting…

When did faith start to fade? Just take a look at today’s roundup, Christian’s lynching and dismembering a man, I’m sure Christ would greatly approve, he of the take up your sword Peter and fight like hell fame, and Muslims running for their lives in one place, committing suicide bombings in the name of Allah in another,. Preachers here in America preaching a prosperity gospel while at the same time fighting against programs that help the poor. Right Christian of them don’t you think? After all, Christ did say I’ve got mine screw you, didn’t he? Yeah, I totally now agree with Marx-religion is just the drug of the people. Nothing more, nothing less!!

    KEVAN SCOTT,

    Yes. Since you asked.

“And as for these enemies of mine who didn’t want me to be their king–bring them in and EXECUTE THEM right here in front of me.'” (Luke 19:27)

[from the “Parable of the 12 Minas”, perhaps the most dangerous words in the Bible]
