“There’s been an ad circulating asking me to call on the NRA to support universal background checks. I want you to know that God has already done a universal background check on every one of us. He created you and knows everything about you. Nothing is hidden from His eyes.” — Evangelist Franklin Graham, in […]

Ah, Frankie, proving how little interest he has in being a Christian with every word he utters in public.

Frankiln is right on! Many people forget that God is Holy and despises
sin! Many today think they can say/do whatever and then still go to
heaven. Wrong! Bible says we must Repent! Ephesians 5:18 says
don’t get drunk and 1 Corinthians 6:10 says that drunkards go to
hell. The wine that Jesus made was new wine/diluted and the Bible
says don’t get drunk on strong wine so people who get drunk with
wine are also wrong! Bible says Repent or perish! We must Repent!

Honey, as much as your rant might be true, it still leaves us with a big void that results in people on Earth dying every day. Now, you might be one of those gun-toting Americans (who rarely get the chance to use such weapon in defense unless the perpetrator isn’t armed (USS Mahan)), but the rest of us would like to walk down a street safe in the knowledge that anyone with a gun has been vetted numerous times. God might be judging us, but I’d certainly appreciate if a human or two determined that another human is safe to carry a weapon into, let’s say, a school.

By the way, when I was in high school, a teacher got so out of sorts he flipped a desk over. Imagine if he’d been armed. This past week a newlywed killed her niece during an arguments (she went and retrieved the gun). My grandfather, back in the late 1940’s, tossed his gun into a lake after he seriously thought about pulling it on a guy who was annoying him in a bar. Guns escalate disagreements so that what would have only been a black eye ends in a death.

The stupid coming off of Franklin Graham just is so tangible, it burns.
Can he be a little more obvious about whom he takes money from?

Please Franklin continue talking. The more he is quoted in public, the less anyone can mistake him for an intelligent sane human being.

What a strange comment, seeing that every word in that quote honors and exalts Christ, and displays the attitude of a true disciple (aka Christian).

  • Leo

What part of his comment seems stupid to you? Franklin reminds the world of God’s wisdom (Christ crucified and resurrected) and of the coming judgment which no one can escape outside of faith in Christ.

What burns? The condemnation you feel from not repenting of your sins? The fires of hell are eternal, but God offers you freedom through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the price for the sins of the world, that whosoever believes in Him should not be judged, but have eternal life.
