Saving Infants in Vietnam – Too often in the past, infants died in Vietnam because the breathing machines and other devices that could have saved them were too expensive or too elaborate for use in low-tech hospitals. But now, as Fred de Sam Lazaro reports from Hanoi, an American company and foundation is helping supply devices the Vietnamese can afford and use, or make themselves, and the infant mortality rate is plummeting.

Wounded Healer –  Father Michael Lapsley is an Anglican priest who lost his hands and one eye in a package bomb explosion in South Africa, during apartheid. Now, he conducts workshops around the world for those wounded in other wars and, as Lucky Severson reports,  he says his own disabilities make it easier for him to help others trying to live with theirs.
