HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — “Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller” (www.hourofpower.org) is now available on the new Pop television network (formerly TV Guide Network), a move that allows the newly re-launched program to reach tens of millions of new viewers.

“Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller,” which is created and funded by the ministry, began airing on Sunday mornings across the U.S. on Jan. 18 (8 a.m. EST, 7 a.m. Central, 9 a.m. Mountain and 8 a.m. PST). The Pop network is owned by Lionsgate and CBS Corp.

The new “Hour of Power,” which re-launched Oct. 5, retains its popular sacred music and sermon while incorporating new segments, including special guests and popular music performers.

“Our biggest goal in re-launching the program was to expand the scope and audience of those who hear about the love of Jesus,” said Schuller. “By appearing on the Pop network, we are reaching millions of new viewers across the U.S. We are thrilled to see the results of this new venture.”

The ministry, founded by Schuller’s grandfather, began as the Garden Grove Community Church at the Orange Drive-in Theatre in 1955, soon adding a 300-seat chapel four miles away. It later expanded to the larger campus. As the ministry grew, in 1970 the “Hour of Power” television program launched and aired in all 50 states by 1975. The program eventually became the most-watched religious program in the world, reaching 17 million viewers.

The Pop network is seen in more than 80 million homes and will include such popular programs as “Beverly Hills, 90210” and the series “Big Brother: After Dark,” among numerous other programs.

In addition to Pop, “Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller” can be seen in the U.S. on TBN, The Church Channel, NRB Network and KTLA in Los Angeles.

Supported by a network of 11 Hour of Power local offices around the world, the full hour airs internationally in Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, New Zealand, Pearl River Delta/China Mainland, the Republic of Ireland, Russia, South Africa and other African countries, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. A half-hour version airs in 177 countries and on all military ships at sea on American Forces Network. The full hour is available at all times at www.hourofpower.org.
