Bible says that man shall perish cause of their lack of knowledge and also
many shall depart from the faith giving themselves over to seducing spirits
not sticking to sound doctrine. This is what has happened to Katy Perry so
I hope she returns to the God of the Bible. 2 Thessalonians warns all of us
about a great deception/a powerful delusion coming to all those who denied
the Truth but also for those who delighted in wickedness/sin. If people claim
be Christians yet delight in sin/love the world they won’t be going to heaven!
Jesus said that you are one of Mine only if you continue in all My teachings
and follow Me/many will say to Me Lord,Lord and not enter heaven! All roads
are not the same and Jesus is the only way to heaven so we all must stick to
what the Bible says but many don’t because they want the praise from man.

Ephesians 5:18 says don’t get drunk and 1 Corinthians 6:10 says that all of
the drunkards go to hell and so do the sexually immoral so people can sing
all the songs they want/point up at/ to the sky/ thank God and still go to hell.
The wine that Jesus made was a new wine/from the fruit of the vine and plus
the Bible also says don’t get drunk with strong wine so wine drunkards go to hell too because Jesus made a diluted wine for a symbolic reason not to get
drunk. John 2:10 says a/the cheap wine was brought out last so the best for
last refers to a poorer/watered down wine. Bein mean/sharp tongues, gossip,
gambling, coveting, jealousy, taking the Lords name in vain are all also wrong!

It doesn’t matter how “spiritual” people are if they aren’t Biblical they are still
lost/headed for hell. 1 Corinthians 5 and 6 the whole chapters plus Luke 13
make it clear that Katy Perry is not a follower of Christ. We all must Repent!
Bible says Repent and believe the Gospel to be saved. We all must Repent!

  • God never forgets or gives up on us. God loves Katy Perry and it’s all good.

  • The last I heard she admitted she had sold her soul to The Devil.

Karla, I truly love you,my sister, but you’re starting to sound like a broken record—Stretch it out a bit, dear!!—God bless you!

  • The Great God Pan

Is this the same Katy Perry who did a Candyland/porn-themed music video where she shot whipped cream out of her breasts while pantomiming an act that I probably can’t name here without my comment being deleted? I think the god she’s referring to might be My old pal, Bacchus! Probably not that Jesus guy.

  • Karla

Laurence Charles Ringo-Thank you for the feedback but I meet person
after person that claims to be a Christian and they don’t change so we
need to preach the Truth. Revelation 20:10 says… satan is thrown into
hell not destroyed as you said but I do always appreciate the feedback.

Katy will return to Jesus – she’s just working out her journey. I believe in Katy that love will find a way and that she will return to eternal life!!

Yes of course – but only if you are male.

If you are talking about the scriptures that ended up being collected and called one of the many different “Bibles”, then your statement is only true for men, since women are clearly treated as (valuable) property – subservient, purchased, and owned.

you can see this throughout the laws in Exodus, numbers and Dt, such as the law to force a woman accused of adultery to drink toxins to determine if she’s faithful (Num 5) – men are exempt from that, forcing women to marry their rapists (see esp. Num 31:18, below), and so on.

Num 31: 17-18 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

And of course, women are specifically named as property in the ten commandments, in both Dt and Ex, and elsewhere (we can get into a long list if you like).

Maybe this is why Elizabeth Cady Stanton, in working for radical idea that women are not property, but are fully equal human beings, said: “The Bible and the Church have been the greatest stumbling blocks in the way of woman’s emancipation. “

  • and although Perry has said she is “not Christian,” she has integrated parts of her Christian upbringing into her current spiritual practices

Cannot say the folks who edit Religion News [sic] Service do not have an affinity for that.

  • The song would’ve been powerful on its own but the “Dark Horse” singer shared her Grammys stage with survivor advocate Brooke Axtell and took a bold stand against domestic violence.

The folks at BuzzFeed are clueless or camp. We report, you decide.

Interesting business to be in; Now, if a serious reporter went knocking about to try to verify elements of her biography, what do you suppose he’d find? Richard Bradley, some work for you.

We shouldn’t be respectors of persons. This article seems like desperate attempt to hope Perry is doing something good when she very worldly and her music and images send very clear and very anti-Christian messages. I too hope she repents and turns to Christ. But right now its clear she is playing on team Satan and don’t kid yourself about that.

  • Karla

Johhny Davis- Amen/very well said! We need to stick to what the Bible says.
The Bible warns us about the seducing spirits/doctrines of demons so we all
need to be on guard and know what the Bible/Word of God says. God bless.

Maybe that’s why nobody knows who Elizabeth Cady Stanton is, and everyone knows and loves the bible. She’s obviously a nut.

  • Maybe this is why Elizabeth Cady Stanton, in working for radical idea that women are not property,

Women qua women were never property any time or any place Stanton ever lived.

  • Jim

I’ll take Katy Perry over Jesus any day, thank you very much.

  • Peter Osborne

I guess we should probably throw all books by Peter out of the Bible since he denied Christ as well. There apparently is no room for redemption or prodigal sons I the Bible…

As for women, most of those sentiments were parrote cultural sentiments about women. The radical views of women were not the oppression parts but we’re that counts of strong and influential women like Ruth, Esther, Rabecah and many, many others that were key figures in the Bible despite the culturally oppressive nature of those times. Oh and I guess Mary was kind of important as well.

I am being very sarcastic in this post because the reality is that everyone is constantly being redeemed by Jesus. Even believers. Or maybe especially believers. Putting down Katy Perry for her process of finding what her faith really is, is contrary to all of the messages of Jesus and denies God’s ability to save.
