White House Extremism Summit – This week, the Obama administration hosted a three-day summit on countering violent extremism in the US and abroad. Host Bob Abernethy and Managing Editor Kim Lawton talk to one of the participants, Haris Tarin of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, about the topics addressed and the controversial question of whether the meeting was too focused on Muslims and Islam.

Rabbi Jonathan Sacks – In the second of a two part conversation, the retired Chief Rabbi of Great Britain talks with Bob Abernethy about religion and science, about what Sacks sees as the necessity of religion not only for a meaningful life but also for civilization, and for working with others as partners with God to repair the world.

Churches in Pubs – With many young people saying they are uncomfortable going to church, some pastors are taking the church to them – in pubs.  Lucky Severson reports on the growing number of religious services and conversations in pubs – and the criticism of it.
