Selma 50th Anniversary – This month, commemorations have been taking place for the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday and subsequent marches in Selma and Montgomery, Alabama, that led to passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Kim Lawton looks at the role religion played and the continuing legacy of the voting rights movement.

Average Mohammed – One American Muslim’s battle with the propaganda of extremist Islam. Violent, radical Islamic groups are using high-quality video to recruit young Muslims in the U.S. and Europe to come join their fight. Now, one of the many Somali Muslim immigrants in Minnesota is making his own videos to counter the radical message. Fred de Sam Lazaro reports from Minneapolis on the resourceful man who calls himself “Average Mohammed.”


Baha’i 19-Day Fast – Baha’is around the world have been observing their 19-Day Fast. It’s one of the holiest times on their calendar and leads up to Naw Ruz, their New Year. Baha’i member ‘Abdu’l-Karim Ewing-Boyd describes the fast and what it means to him spiritually.
