"What almost bothers me more is that no one from the Bangladesh government has reached out to me. It's as if I don't exist, and they are afraid of the extremists."

  • Larry

    You are kidding.

This is a Poe troll post, right?

  • Kevin Saldanha

“peaceful Muslims to acts of violence” sounds like a contradiction of terms. Why does a religion of peace need to resort to murderous violence when provoked?

  • Sam

Shouldn’t it be legal to kill religious nuts if they believe they are going to see their skyking anyway?

  • Unrepentant Atheist

    Wow. Blame the victim. Nice.

If they are willing to kill because they find offense against their religion, then they were never “peaceful” to start with.

I am a proponent of free speech. If we are needing to monitor our speech in order to not “provoke Muslims” then it isn’t free speech anymore. How about instead of us not talking, Muslims not killing. That way you wouldn’t have that tag of being “violent extremists”.

What kind of mental disorder does one have to have to kill over ideas and words?

    Oh, right, religion.

  • Mephistopheles

Hey, Ayesha…are you the same Ayesha that married Mohammed when you were 6 years old, then had sex with him when you were 9?

  • Mephistopheles

I think it must be, and an excellent one at that.

  • Andrew T

Peaceful people do not employ violence in response to words, no matter how offended they become. You are presenting us with a blatant contradiction. Muslims – like anyone else – can be peaceful or violent, it is their personal decision. How can a peaceful religion make peaceful people commit violent acts?

  • Peaceful Atheist

There is no militant atheist movement. There are, however, several militant religious organizations. You are the problem and victim blaming is a tool of terrorism.

  • Jeez, as if there wasn’t enough drama and stigma surrounding this topic anyways!

  • All we Atheists can do at this point is to keep speaking out, keep coming out of the closets and keep protecting freedom.

The world is changing – the truth is spreading – and the religious
do not know what else to do except to kill.

“Bring to me those enemies of mine who would not have me as their King, and Execute them in front of me” – JESUS (Luke 19:27)

“Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them.” – ALLAH (Sura 2:191)

Religion is not true. It is man made, tribalistic nonsense.

  • “It’s as if I don’t exist, and they are afraid of the extremists. Is Bangladesh going to be the next Pakistan or Afghanistan?”

Yes. Unless secularism spreads faster than this ridiculous religious nonsense.

  • Susan

A third blogger was just hacked to death in Pakistan on Tuesday.

It remains a mystery to me how anyone can murder someone just because they believe differently than you do.

  • @Fuzz,

All the innocent unbelievers who were burned to death
and had their heads chopped off
will be happy to learn it was because of a mis-reading
of God’s clear and obvious message of love.

  • These murders of bloggers are horrific. It is despicable, barbaric, primitive behavior.

“Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them.” – ALLAH (Sura 2:191)

If religion doesn’t die off faster humanity will be doomed.

  • Wow

    Wow. Context much. Metaphor man.

  • So the victims of religious crimes should be relieved
to learn these deadly assaults were a misunderstanding of God’s loving scripture?

    “Kill homosexuals” – (Lev 20:13)
“Kill Jews” – Hitler (Mein Kampf)

Thanks for explaining that these are just ‘misunderstandings’.

  • no bangladesh wont be a terorist country they are fighting terorism
