(RNS) A 2013 documentary is getting new life as a tool to open a dialogue on the African-American church and LGBT rights at historically black colleges and universities.

This article has been cited before, and I fully apologize for the necessary use of a slur word in its title. The linked article cites Bayard Rustin as the historical nexus between the racial civil rights movement and the current LBGT one.

“To say that gays are the new n——s is not to say that black oppression has disappeared. The claim that black folks are fully enfranchised and free is simply not true. Stark racial and economic disparities continue to exist in the United States, regardless of who is in the White House.

Legislative onslaughts and public disdain against queer folks invites them into the community of n——s. By carrying the racial epithet beyond race, Rustin insists that blacks and queers share a common quest to save democracy. He calls us to look critically at the ways in which racism and heterosexism are two heads on the same devil.”

Well, the Rev. Bill Owens is correct in what he said there — totally correct.

But with the nation’s most famous black person — Barack Obama — already fully and visibly enslaved to the Gay Marriage Religion, it’s going to be a seriously UPHILL battle for Rev. Owens, Rev. McCoy and any other Bible-believing Christian black pastors to reach the young people. In fact, this is true for the forseeable future.

But I salute such Christian pastors for their courageous efforts. By taking a brave and public stand against the evil of Gay Marriage, they are buying a little more time for Black America and its children, even though time is clearly running out for all of America and all of America’s children.

“It is destroying the family,” he said of the push for LGBT rights. “It is against everything the black church has stood for.”

Are we to blame gays for the lack of married, 2-parent households with children in the black community?

How about the high incarceration rate of black males.

Gays are definitely not contributing to the sizable high school dropout/teen pregnancy rates within that community either.

I can’t understand why black churches would rail against marriage equality. Given the high percentage of single parents within the black community, one would say heterosexual marriage rights aren’t really significant to them either.

If family is so important to the good reverend Owens & McCoy, why are they wasting so much time and energy on issues which are not relevant to the real issues concerning families in their community? Because they learned what many white churches knew long ago, it is easier to demonize a group than to help your own.

Its always very sad to see bigoted negroes, which shows how uneducated and ignorant the next generation is. Blacks were persecuted by religious kooks in the 60s-the same exact thing happens today to gays. For blacks to not know this (or to not care), is beyond abhorrent. Clarence Thomas and Ben Carson-two successful black men are truly disgraceful. They have forgotten their roots and really think they are white and accepted as equals among white elites; no-they are being used as tokens. Fortunately, religion is dying in the west and its vile evil stranglehold on minds is waning. Some day, gays will be fully embraced by all as normal, healthy, variants of humanity. Most blacks follow their leaders so thank God that Obama is leading the way. Religion does indeed wrap and kill. It must be wiped out for all of us to truly be free.

If you hate America, our United States Constitution and the Proper Rule Of Law, and LGBT Americans that much, perhaps you should consider moving to Russia. Vladimir Putin fully supports the anti-gay political agenda. Putin provides aid and comfort to anti-gays from the US who are attacking our Constitution. Putin allows anti-gay fugitives from justice to evade their Debt To Society by hiding in Russia, and even allowed one of those miscreants to write some of the new Russian anti-gay Hate Laws. Putin’s official state church shares your church’s anti-gay political agenda.

There’s NOTHING “Christian” about the anti-gay political agenda. Many Christian, and Jewish, denominations want to marry same gender couples.

Sad to say, the answer is in the history of the disloyal anti-gay movement. Anita Bryant engaged in similar desperate attempts to “project” away bad parenting by mixed-sex parents onto her intended LGBT victims.

    The Human Rights Campaign?

Once those fanatics are involved with anything, you know you’re dealing with the rapidly evolving Gaystapo running things.

Why does society have to submit to all things homosexual?

This is getting creepy. NO DISSENT of the queer paradigm?

The rainbow flag may as well take on the proper swastika shape and be done with it.

Look if you want to engage in homosexuality then do it. But don’t expect to be validated by every single person in the populace. Why must all show obeisance to the LGBT power mongers?

Go do your gay thing behind closed doors.
