WASHINGTON (RNS) In a personal and powerful talk, Francis gave the American bishops a new set of marching orders, away from the tempting path of culture warriors and toward an "inclusive" approach that stresses dialogue.

Let’s see what he says when he addresses the hate fest known as the world congress of families.

Nice try Francis but you are dealing from a flawed ideology, theology and history. Nothing will change this deck of stained cards.

No, Francis is what Jesus was and is even today. He is calling people home through Love. Of course he cannot support or embrace gay marriage, but he can show the way to true freedom in Christ. It is interesting, that the closer one gets to Jesus, the more that person knows certain things in his/her life must end. Once a person truly and fully surrenders to Jesus, all sin ends in that person’s life. That is what Francis is bringing; that is what Christ also brought when he walked the earth.

  • Greg,

“He is calling people home through Love…cannot support gay marriage…the way to true freedom in Christ.”

    Delusional.

Love, Compassion, Empathy, Trust, Human Dignity ….
…these life-affirming things are not improved by claiming a magic sky fairy invented them!

    Tell us more about that.

Never mind, I looked it up. You called it accurately. I recognize two names on their “Editorial Advisory Board,” Rod Dreher, a notorious Islamophobe and right-wing pundit, and Charles Murray, a racist academic who blames the poor for being poor.

Evangelizing those in positions of service to God’s people – a meaningful exercise.
