ROME (RNS) Francis told journalists on the papal plane home that clerical abuse is “nearly a sacrilege” and the Catholic Church must take a tough line.

Jesus said childrape was unforgivable in Matt 18:6-14.

The Catholic church forgave and protected 100% of their pedophile priests, and helped 0% of the victims (unless they were forced to in court).

Of course Pope Francis can forgive them. Of course, Jesus can’t. Choose your side.

Papa Francis, clerical abuse IS a sacrilege, since it shows a profound disrespect for our neighbor who is the, “…holiest object presented to our senses”, after the Blessed Sacrament Itself. (Quote from C.S. Lewis).
And those who abuse as well as those who cover up the abuse need to be arrested, tried, convicted and sent to prison. Forgiveness comes with sincere repentance.
