TRUMP TOWER, New York (RNS) Donald J. Trump is not just the billionaire son of a millionaire. Contrary to his opponents’ caricature of him as an elite real estate mogul who has done nothing for anyone but himself, the real Donald has sacrificed so much for his family, his business and his country. After Khizr Khan claimed at the Democratic National Convention that Trump “sacrificed nothing” for his country, the Republican presidential candidate corrected the record:
I think I have made a lot of sacrifices. I’ve worked very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve done — I’ve had tremendous success.
Amen! We all know he could have built his skyscrapers with his own bare hands. He sacrificed a lot to hire others. What a selfless soul!
