Kairos Prison Ministry – For more than 30 years trained volunteers from Kairos Prison Ministry have been involved in group discussions and one-on-one mentoring in more than 400 prisons, trying to transform the inmates they meet. Lucky Severson watched the volunteers at work on a recent weekend at the Branchville Correctional Facility in Indiana – working intensely with inmates, bringing them forgiveness, love and on this occasion, 24,000 cookies.

Wayne Meisel’s Seminarians – Rev. Wayne Meisel is a Presbyterian pastor with a strong, self-chosen mission. He works with students at the Princeton Theological Seminary and other divinity schools around the country, hoping they can create a national movement of young Christians who want to make the world a better place, especially for the poor. As one of Meisel’s seminarians, Theron Cook of Alexandria, VA., told Bob Abernethy, “If we don’t do it, who will?”
