My name is Elizabeth Shulman, and I invite you to review Sanctuary in the Midst of Alzheimer’s: A Ministry for Husbands and Wives Caring for a Spouse with Dementia, the only Bible study that is specifically designed for spouses of dementia patients and for the churches that serve these spouses. I was a spousal caregiver for 8 years and chose to do my doctoral research on the experience of marriage for spouses of dementia patients. I have interviewed hundreds of spouses and found most of them to be seeking better support from their churches.
