At a time when “Christian Nationalism” is a household phrase and religious persecution is as prevalent as ever, there is no better time to educate ourselves in order to better understand our neighbor and honor the diversity of this country.

Good God is a podcast with host, George Mason, discussing faith in public life. Mason, a progressive Baptist pastor in Dallas, TX, speaks to people across faiths about activism, religion, science, philanthropy, and more. The result is an inspirational weekly conversation, which transforms your exasperated Good God! into the affirmation: Good God.

2021 kicked off with a new sub-series called “American Faith.” Ten episodes aired with ten guests, each representing a different religion. The question posed to each guest: What’s it like to be (insert faith) in America?

From episode 2 with Imam Omar Suleiman: “I can’t think of a single time where a deeply devout Christian did not walk away from our relationship with a greater appreciation of Islam and of the Muslim community. Like, wait a minute. These people are really not who I thought they were and their religion is not what I thought it was.”

More of that, please.

Episodes include Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism, Native American spirituality, Catholicism, and more. They can be accessed here: https://goodgodproject.com/american-faith
