PORTLAND, Ore. — OCP is proud to announce the release of the new bilingual single, “Jesucristo, Te Seguiremos/Jesus Christ, You Alone We Will Follow,” by popular Catholic artist Iván Díaz in collaboration with Fr. Rob Galea. You can now listen and access the song here.

The pair previously collaborated on the most popular song from World Youth Day Panamá 2019: “Aquí Estoy.” Their new single, “Jesucristo Te Seguiremos/Jesus Christ, You Alone We Will Follow,” was inspired by Jesus’ invitation to take up our cross and follow him. Iván Díaz and Fr. Rob Galea exhort us to leave all we have and seek Christ among the poor and forgotten, courageously proclaiming his kingdom of justice and peace, in this dynamic and accessible song which will be loved by both choir and assembly. Ideal for multicultural celebrations, the new release can be sung bilingually or in either Spanish or English, and can be played by a contemporary instrumental ensemble including piano, guitar, bass, drums, minor percussion and other instruments.

“May this song fortify the missionary spirit in your communities and inspire them to follow the Lord more faithfully,” says Iván.

A Colombian musician, teacher and presenter, Iván has developed an extensive and prolific musical career in the United States. He has performed and presented at diocesan events, conventions, concerts, as well as television networks such as EWTN and Jesus Christ Network. Iván is the music director of NCYM (National Conference of Youth Ministry), has served as choral director of NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference) and has a bachelor of music and a master’s degree in choral conducting.
