David Chung, a Korean pastor, shared top billing with the World Vision Orphans' Choir on the first television program sponsored by the National Christian Council of Korea over the Korean government's newly-commissioned station HLCK-TV in March 1962. Using public service time donated by KBS, the official government network, the council was responsible for half-hour shows three Sunday nights a month.
