Judge vacates former youth minister’s sex abuse convictions

(RNS) — A Pennsylvania judge has overturned the conviction of a former Church of Christ youth minister accused of abusing children at the youth camp he oversaw. The judge said he "reluctantly" ruled that the statute of limitations for reporting the allegations had expired.

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (RNS) — Elders at a Pennsylvania Church knew that a former youth minister and camp leader had confessed to abuse. But they still allowed him to come to church services until a judge ordered him to stay away.
