If Jehovah God gets the credit for all of Serena’s wins, who gets the credit for every one of Jehovah’s Witnesses numerous failed prophecies for the start of Armageddon ? (1914, 1925, 1975)

  • ” “I have to thank Jehovah God for this,” Serena Williams told the crowd.”

The profound immorality of Jesus Christ:

    1. He has time to help Serena win a tennis match. No time to help starving kids? Shame on Jesus.

    2. Why does Serena accept the award ? If Jesus did it, Jesus was wrong to not help the underdog. Shame on Jesus.

    3. Why does Serena compete at all? If Jesus is going to decide the outcome, why have the match? Shame on Jesus for making people do hard work for no reason!

    4. If Serena can’t win by her own power Jesus was very wrong to cheat!
Shame on you Jesus for helping her cheat by using your superpower!

    5. “So the first will be last and last shall be first” – JESUS (Matthew 20:6)” – Nonsense, Jesus. You cheated in favor of the top player – and you don’t even care.

Religion is an embarrassment the moment you apply the slightest thought.
Serena did this on her own. Saying anything else is stupid.

    Karla aka “Tieta”
Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t deny Jesus is God. They agree with the Bible that teaches Jesus is God’s SON (not God Almighty). Jehovah is God Almighty as stated at Psalms 83:18 (AKJV 1611). Jesus is the SON of the Most High as stated to Mary by the angel Gabriel at Luke 1:32.
As for “false dates of Armageddon”, JWs know that only Jehovah knows the day and the hour. Jesus said that he doesn’t even know, “only the Father knows”. – Matthew 24:36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.
(showing that Jesus IS NOT GOD)

  • Tieta

CMR-Matthew 24:26 was while Jesus was on earth only cause He had
to submit to the will of the Trinity/Godhead so now Jesus is back with
the Godhead/Trinity in heaven of course Jesus knows the hour cause
He is co-eternal/God with God/the Father and God/the Holy Spirit and
that’s one God with the three parts. The Trinity can be/get confusing
but the birth of Jesus was a miracle/was not a creation plus Emmanuel
means God with us so that shows He/Jesus was God with us as part of
the Trinity/Godhead! Jesus said before Abraham I Am and what did
God say to Moses? He said I Am so for Jesus to use to the name I Am
shows He is God! You are wrong about hell/works/the 144,000 as well.

  • Fran

Jesus only submitted to the will of his Father, Almighty God (and not a trinity), whose name is Jehovah, and never to his own will. He never did things on his own initiative. Jesus also gave us the model prayer to follow as a guide, which is ONLY addressed to our Heavenly Father, and which does not include Jesus nor the Holy Spirit; showing only our Heavenly Father is who we should worship.

  • bqrq

    Tieta said to CMR,
    “……You are wrong about hell/works/the 144,000 as well…..”

    Dear Tieta,
During these dark days, Christian brothers and sisters should focus more on the grace that we hold in common with all believers, and less on the issues that divide us.

The mission of this RNS forum is to infect and divide the Church with immorality and gay marriage.

The Jehovah Witness are good Christian soldiers who nurture families and uphold traditional Christian morality. May God Bless us as we go forth.

  • Tieta

CMR-Revelation 1:9-20 also shows that Jesus was not created
cause He says I Am the First and the Last so if He was the first
that means He was not created plus First born over creation
refers to His rank not that He was created so do Bible studying
cause His preeminence is what First born refers to. God bless.

  • Tieta

bqrq-Wrong! Plus there are other sins that need to be talked about other
than homosexuals/gay marriage which you talk about way to much and so
read the whole Bible not just part. Jehovah witnesses are heretics as the
Bible says that if anyone comes to you and preaches/teaches something
different that person will be eternally condemned! The gate is narrow!

  • Tieta

The Bible also says not to subtract from it or you go to hell so people
who teach there is no hell go to hell because of that teaching! Ironic.

  • Agzela

Tieta, The Devil is God’s worst enemy. If God sends people to a fiery hell to be tormented by the Devil, wouldn’t that imply a level of cooperation between God and the Devil?

Does it make sense that God would ask Satan the Devil—the very one who influences wicked people—to punish those same people?

For that matter, if God wanted the wicked to be punished, why would the Devil—God’s archenemy—comply with God’s wishes and torment them?

  • Tieta

agzela- Thank you for your input. Hell was made for the devil and
the other fallen angels but God gave man free will so the devil in
his attempt to get back at God deceived man in Garden of Eden
so we all have free will/choice to follow sin/the devil or follow God.

  • Agzela

Is eternal torment of the wicked compatible with God’s personality?

Jer. 7:31: “They [apostate Judeans] have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.” (If it never came into God’s heart, surely he does not have and use such a thing on a larger scale.)

Jesus said to throw an eye, hand a foot into hell if it is stumbling you….How can that happen? if you believe in a literal Hell?

  • Agzela

Does the Bible also say that upright people go to hell?

Job 14:13, Dy: “[Job prayed:] Who will grant me this, that thou mayst protect me in hell,* and hide me till thy wrath pass, and appoint me a time when thou wilt remember me?” (God himself said that Job was “a man blameless and upright, fearing God and turning aside from bad.”—Job 1:8.)

Acts 2:25-27, KJ: “David speaketh concerning him [Jesus Christ], . . . Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.” (The fact that God did not “leave” Jesus in hell implies that Jesus was in hell, or Hades, at least for a time, does it not?)

  • Agzela

Does anyone ever get out of hell?

Rev. 20:13, 14, KJ: “The sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell* delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.” (So the dead will be delivered from hell. Notice also that hell is not the same as the lake of fire but will be cast into the lake of fire.)

  • Agzela

What does the Bible say the penalty for sin is?

Rom. 6:23: “The wages sin pays is death.”

After one’s death, is he still subject to further punishment for his sins?

Rom. 6:7: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”

  • Agzela

Tieta, I quoted scripture showing the truth about Hell, and even reasoned that God does not work together with his enemy. You must be reading Dante’s Eleven Pains of Hell and not the Bible.

  • Agzela

How can the God who tells us in the Bible that we are to love our enemies wish to torture his enemies for eternity? (1 John 4:8-10) Not surprisingly, some people conclude that the nature of hell simply is not compatible with the nature of God, that this doctrine does not make moral sense.

You find one answer by comparing the doctrine of eternal torment with a standard of justice given by God: “Eye for eye, tooth for tooth.” (Exodus 21:24) For the sake of argument, apply to the doctrine of hellfire that divine law given to ancient Israel, a law of exact retribution. What conclusion will you likely reach? That only those sinners who have caused eternal torment deserve equal eternal torment in turn—eternal torment for eternal torment. But since humans (no matter how evil) can cause only finite torment, sentencing them to eternal torment creates a disproportion between their crimes and the infinite penalty of hellfire.

  • Agzela

    Cont…..

Simply stated, the sentence would be too heavy. It would go far beyond “eye for eye, tooth for tooth.” Considering that Jesus’ teachings moderated the idea of retaliation, you may admit that true Christians would be hard-pressed to see justness in eternal torment.—Matthew 5:38, 39; Romans 12:17.

  • Agzela

Is the account, at Luke 16:19-31, literal or merely an illustration of something else? The Jerusalem Bible, in a footnote, acknowledges that it is a “parable in story form without reference to any historical personage.” If taken literally, it would mean that those enjoying divine favor could all fit at the bosom of one man, Abraham; that the water on one’s fingertip would not be evaporated by the fire of Hades; that a mere drop of water would bring relief to one suffering there. Does that sound reasonable to you? If it were literal, it would conflict with other parts of the Bible. If the Bible were thus contradictory, would a lover of truth use it as a basis for his faith? But the Bible does not contradict itself.

What does the parable mean? The “rich man” represented the Pharisees. (See verse 14.) The beggar Lazarus represented the common Jewish people who were despised by the Pharisees but who repented and became followers of Jesus. (See Luke 18:11; John 7:49; Matthew 21:31, 32.)…

  • Agzela

You know deep down in your heart that God has not created an eternal Auschwitz(Hell) because God is Love! The God you are describing is not the one in the Bible. And you have not been able to answer any of my questions using any supporting scripture and even misunderstood the parable you offered as proof….

  • Tieta

Agzela- Jesus died so we don’t have to go to hell/ look at what He
went through so we don’t have to go to hell. If there is no hell why
would He go through all He did if all that happens to us is ceasing
to exist? You really need to read the whole Bible not just part of it.

  • Alexander Gonzalez

You say its not a parable? As further evidence that this is not a literal account but is an illustration, consider this: Is hell literally within speaking distance of heaven so that such a real conversation could be carried on? Moreover, if the rich man were in a literal burning lake, how could Abraham send Lazarus to cool his tongue with just a drop of water on the tip of his finger?

The context and the wording of the story show clearly that it is a parable and not an actual historical account. Poverty is not being extolled, nor are riches being condemned. Rather, conduct, final rewards, and a reversal in the spiritual status, or condition, of those represented by Lazarus and by the rich man are evidently indicated. The fact that the rich man’s brothers rejected Moses and the prophets also shows that the illustration had a deeper meaning and purpose than that of contrasting poverty and the possession of riches.

  • Alexander Gonzalez

The language throughout the account is plainly parabolic and cannot be construed literally in view of all the preceding texts. Note, however, that “the rich man” of the parable is spoken of as being “buried” in Hades, giving further evidence that Hades means the common grave of mankind. Otherwise it would say alive in hell!

  • Alexander Gonzalez

If you have the “truth” then you should be able to explain your belief…you cant and made a feeble attempt at that… you hold on to pagan/myth traditions that have crept into Christendom and cant even see it…so sad that your eyes are in darkness.

ppl claim god helps them succeed, but who helps them to fail? they give credit to god for the good stuff but say the mistakes are from free will. Isn’t succeeding the result of free will also?

She is successful because she was born with a compulsion to be perfect at everything. It serves (see what i did there?) her well at tennis but it screws up her personal life. Obsessed with perfection in her belief also.

  • Tieta

Chxlsev- Bible is clear the body goes to the ground and the spirit goes to God
to be judged to either go to hell or to heaven! Bible says in Matthew 13:41-42
that hell is a place of weeping/gnashing of teeth. Don’t you think that if God
could’ve destroyed the devil He would have but we are all created as eternal
beings so the soul is seperate from the body/ the soul goes to hell or heaven.

  • Peter D

I was raised as a Jehovahs Witness, Father was an Elder….My and I would like to ask, if “”God is love” then why do Jehovahs witnesses refuse to treat their ill with blood transfusions…. and would rather watch a loved one die, then help them live….. surely they misinterpret the scripture that says that the blood is life which is a gift from Jehovah….. so they believe it is sacred and not to be shared…… but surely a loving God would want the sacred life it be preserved, and if sharing your blood to help others live, surely he would bless this rather than watching one of his worshipers die???? My Mum passed away from leukemia 5 yrs ago…. and if we were still practicing Witnesses during that time, then my Mum would have died 2 years previously, and would not have had then opportunity to live out her days surrounded by family….. and her final days would have been in pain, with loss of dignity…. I am sure that God wouldn’t want that for any of his children!

It’s nice to see an article without posts from the Christian bashing gay activists and atheists showcasing their bizarre sickness towards Christians. Be that as it may, Watch Tower theology as developed by Russell and Rutherford is just a rehash or Arianism. They are just a modernized version of an age-old heresy. That an incredible athlete like Serena Williams is caught up in the cult is just a tragic twist of fate for her. Her wins come from physical hard work and incredible talent. She was prepared for battle from her youth. But if she wants to credit that to the JW version of God, who cares?

The Apostles didn’t die for guy that said what Jesus said. They were willing to die as a matter of knowledge for Jesus as the Creator of all things. That means Jesus as God. There is no savior but God.

JW’s follow Charles Taze Russell and Judge Joseph Franklin Rutherford. They do not follow the Gospel, nor the Apostolic mission. Oh and Serena Williams, she won a secular tennis…

Because we don’t care. Its her belief, she is not doing anyone harm by it to others. It may seem silly, but works for her.

It is fun watching Christians bash each other over the head as to which ridiculous sectarian belief is allegedly the right one. You guys don’t need atheists to attack. Just put 2 reactionary Christians of different sects into the same room and its like something that Michael Vick would have bet on.

Christians just can’t get along with each other, let alone act in moral judgment of those outside their little circle.

  • Greg1

Yes, without using too much Scripture, Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God, and God the Father is God. Jesus was begotten of the Father (Heb1:5, John 14:9), which means he is divine. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son, so the Holy Spirit is divine, and God, notice how both Jesus and the Holy Spirit “proceed” from the Father (Jn 8:42 & Jn 15:26). But the Holy Spirit is not merely the Spirit of the Father (Matt 10:20), He also proceeds from, and is the Spirit of the Son (Gal 4:6, Acts 16:7, Rom 8:9, Phil 1:19). So He is divine, He is God. The Trinity is God in Three Divine Persons: “one Spirit…one Lord…one God” (Eph 4:4-6). Without the Father, neither the Holy Spirit, or Jesus would exist, but since the Father IS, then Jesus and the Holy Spirit ARE. And just to squash the JW’s belief in Jesus being Michael the Archangel, well as shown above, Jesus is begotten, the Angels were “created” (Col 1:16, Rom 8:38-38):”before Abraham came to be, I AM” (Jn 8:58-59).

  • Greg1

Larry, I’m not sure a person like yourself is qualified to comment on religious belief other than to state that you do not believe in God. This country has reaped the harvest of Christianity, yet the secularists will never give credit where credit is due.

As for the JW’s, well for the first 1000 years of Christianity, the Church was One. When the 1000 years were over, in the second millennium, many took only the Bible with them, and claimed it was all they needed, but clearly, the Bible alone is not enough to base the Faith upon, otherwise there would not be so many misinterpretations of it. This only goes to show that we need to trust in the Promises of Jesus, that he would be with his Church until the end (Matt 28:20), that the powers of hell would not influence its doctrine (Matt 16:18), but that instead it would be led by the Holy Spirit (John 14:16&26), and that it would be the pillar and foundation of Truth (1Tim 3:15). And that Church is the Catholic Church 33-2015 AD.

  • Fran

After the great tribulation takes place, when the world empire of false religion (the harlot, Babylon the Great is destroyed by man’s worldwide political systems–Rev. 17 and 18); and after Armageddon, God’s victory over battle with those political systems (kings of the earth–Rev. 16:14-16), then false religion will never again exist on earth.

Only accurate knowledge and the truth about Jehovah God; his son, Christ Jesus; and the holy spirit, or God’s active force will be known worldwide. As foretold at Isaiah 11:9, “…the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.” ?

  • Greg1

Fran, quick question: if the Holy Spirit is “God’s active force,” then why is He referred to in the Bible as the Paraclete (Paraclete = Helper, Representative, Advocate), and personal pronouns are used to describe Him. Look up the following where clearly personal attributes are ascribed to the Him: teaching truth (Jn 14:16), giving testimony for Christ (Jn 15:26, Jn 16:7-8), having the knowledge of the mysteries (1Cor 2:10), forecasting future events (Jn 16:13, Acts 21:11), and installing bishops (Act 20:28). How can an active force be a person?

  • Fran

    Greg1,

Because other texts say that people were “filled” with holy spirit, and some were “baptized” with it (Luke 1:41; Matt. 3:11; Acts 10:38). Those latter references to holy spirit do not fit a person. All these texts must be considered.

Evidently, the texts you cited employ a figure of speech personifying God’s holy spirit, his active force, just as the Bible personifies wisdom, sin, death, water and blood.

The Bible tells us the personal name of the Father–Jehovah (Psalm
83:18). It tells us the Son is Jesus (Matt. 3:17). But NOWHERE is a “personal name” applied to the holy spirit.

Acts 7:55,56 says Stephen was given a vision of heaven and he saw “Jesus standing at God’s right hand.” But he made no mention of seeing the holy spirit.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia admits: “The majority of the New Testament reveal God’s spirit as something, not someone; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God” (1967, Vol…

  • Fran

Vol. XIII, p. 575). It also reports: “The Apologists spoke too haltingly of the Spirit; with a measure of anticipation, one might say too impersonally.” (Vol. XVI, p. 296).

  • Greg1

Fran, Jesus himself said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24). In fact the whole nature of heaven is a dimension that differs from ours. And just because the Bible does not Name the Holy Spirit, doesn’t mean He isn’t a Spiritual Divine Being. Jesus mentions that we have guardian angels, but doesn’t name them either (Matthew 18:10); does that mean they are only a force? Think about what we know of Jesus: He is the “Son of God.” Is Jesus his heavenly Name? Or just the name Mary and Joseph gave him? Did he have another name before that? If so, then what was it (John 8:58)? We are given the Names of the Trinity only insofar as their functions: “Father, Son, Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). Even the name “YAHWEH” or Jehovah as you guys call it, is a Jewish word for I AM WHO I AM. Does that mean that the Father is only a Force? Not likely. We will learn the Names of the Trinity only in Heaven.

It takes no qualification to pretend one set of irrational self-serving beliefs is bette than another set of irrational self-serving beliefs. Plus not being subject to sectarian biases, it allows a level of objectivity you and others will never have on the subject. Belief causes people to make compromises with facts and rational discussion in order to support it.

“The Church” has always been a splintered, fractuous sort of thing. There was never one of them. But there are plenty of people who thought theirs was the only one worth considering. Please by all means, keep pretending yours has any more merit than others.

  • She doesn’t mention Jesus or the Holy Spirit who are intricate parts of the Trinity.
It’s too bad if someone doesn’t believe in hell. It’s real and mentioned many times in God’s word. Jesus even descended into hell before he rose into Heaven. Please study for your final exam and study the Bible..

Greg1 and Fran, the whole Jesus-sacrifice story, the foundation of your crazy superstition, is a steaming pile of rubbish. How is it again that your omnipotent being couldn’t do his saving bit without the whole silly Jesus hoopla? And how was Jesus’ death a “sacrifice”, when an omnipotent being could just pop up a replacement son any time with less than a snap of his fingers? Greg1,

John 4:23, 24, spoken by Jesus, confirms that worship should ONLY go to the Father and did not include himself, nor the holy spirit. Yet, you still want to worship all three.

The model prayer, recited by Jesus at Matt. 6:9-12 directed prayer should ONLY be directed to the Father, and did not include himself nor the holy spirit. Yet, you still want to worship all three.

Jesus was a spirit person, just like his Father, when he was created by him (Rev. 3:14). After his death and resurrection, he again became a spirit person (1 Corinth. 15:45).

Angels are also spirit persons: “But with reference to which one of the ANGELS has he ever said: “Sit at my right hand, until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet?” Are they not all SPIRITS for public service, sent forth to minister for those who are going to inherit salvation?” (Heb. 1:13,14). They likely have names just like Jehovah God and his son, Jesus, since they are all persons.

Also, by reading the account at Luke 1:31, 32, an angel appeared to Mary and told her that she would “give birth to a son, and you are to call his name Jesus.” He also explained that Jesus would be called the SON of the MOST HIGH, and Jehovah God would give him the throne of David.

Jesus’ name was thus given from Most High God, Jehovah, and Jesus acknowledged as his SON, through an angel; and not from his earthly parents, Mary and Joseph.

    Bob,

You are not looking for truth, so you will not find it; but those who are looking for it will.

You will, however, see proof of God’s existence and his purpose for mankind on earth when his Kingdom soon intervenes in man’s affairs.

Everyone on the planet will see and know it for a fact when that takes place.

  • Bob

That’s false, Fran. You can make no valid statements about what I am or am not looking for. Please retract your lie.

  • Bob

Those are just silly stories by primitive people, Fran, mistranslated many times over. Your religion even has stolen its core tale about sacrifice from myths of earlier people.

So, again, about that Jesus nonsense you keep spamming us with, the whole Jesus-sacrifice story, the foundation of your crazy superstition that you keep bothering us about, is a steaming pile of rubbish out of the gate. This time, try to answer the questions instead of doing more of your usual bible spew.

How is it again that your omnipotent being couldn’t do his saving bit without the whole silly Jesus hoopla? And how was Jesus’ death a “sacrifice”, when an omnipotent being could just pop up a replacement son any time with less than a snap of his fingers? Pretty pathetic “god” that you’ve made for yourself there.

    Fran,
The Bible never says that Jesus was created. It only says he was begotten (John 3:16), and that means He came from the Father, bearing the nature of the Father. That is why Jesus would say, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9). The rest of the world, including the angels, were created (see: Col 1:16, Rom 8:38-38). Created means that God brought them forth out of nothing. Begotten means that God generated a Son from his own divine nature. And Jesus should be worshiped: Just read Chapter 5 of Revelation. The Lamb is Jesus. And what does the Name Jesus mean? (Yeshua means the Lord saves). Again, the Names of the Trinity denote their function: Father, Son, Paraclete, (I AM, Salvation, Advocate). All Three existed before the creation of any angel, or human. The Hebrews 1:5 quote only emphasizes my point: “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?” Jesus is NOT an angel. He is God the Son.

Bob, that steaming pile of rubbish will Judge you, and your eternal fate will rest in his Hands. Understand that God is All things. He is Justice, He is Mercy, He is Love, He IS every attribute we strive for. And since He is Justice, He cannot deny Himself. So when we sin against God, we deserve eternal hell as his Justice would call for, but He is also Mercy and Love, so he satisfies his Justice, through sacrifice. As Psalm 85:10 says, “Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.” God satisfies his Justice, but extends his Mercy through the Sacrifice of His Son. And not just any sacrifice would atone for the sins of the world, and all time, but only the Sacrifice of God Himself would atone for such a weight of Sin. That is why God the Son, took on a human nature, and suffered willingly to save mankind from eternal hell. In his first visit, his Divinity was hidden by his Humanity, at the Second Coming His Divinity will obscure his Humanity (Mark 13:26).

    Greg1,

It appears you did not read Rev. 3:14 concerning Jesus, who was “created”.

  • Fran

No, Jesus is the son of God (Matthew 3-17).

  • Greg1

Larry, for the first 1000 years, the Church was One.

  • Greg1

Rev 3:14: “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God” The angel is the bishop of the Church in Laodicea, the Amen is Jesus, and indeed He was involved in the creation of the world with the Father. As Genesis says, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” (Gen 1:26). The Trinity does everything together: “And the earth was without form … And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Gen 1:2). St. Paul states, “[He] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Col 1:15-19). Jesus is the firstborn from the dead (Col 1:18). Anyone in him is a “new creation” (2Cor 5:17). He is essential in both…

  • Greg1

Fran, you need to detach yourself from your church’s beliefs for a moment, and just read the text: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:1-3).

“I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt … Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God” (Deuteronomy 5:6-9).

Ask yourself a question. If the Word is not God, then all of the heavenly worship of the Lamb (Rev 5), would be in clear violation of his Order.

Greg1, that was only after it pulled its tall tales together after stealing them from numerous older bloody superstitions, albeit not all of them with slmilarly murderous gods to the one in your evil Christian myths.

Greg, enough of your sick bible spew already. Try looking more critically at your Christian tall tales for a change. Bob, I’m beginning to believe that you are just a fairy tale.

  • Greg1

Wow, I just checked out John chapter 1 in the JW Bible. No wonder their followers don’t understand the Trinity. They rearrange the sentences, and insert words not even found in the underlying Greek to twist the meaning. Whew! I like the way they insert the word “a” in front of God, to skew the meaning: “The Word was a god” (JW Bible). There is no such word in the underlying Greek. This would have one thinking that Jesus was “a god,” and not “God,” as is clear in the Greek. What a twist! The odd thing is that to have another “god,” other than “the God,” is to break the First Commandment. Please you all, get another translation, one that is true to the underlying Greek. Try the KJV, or the Douay; they might be overly literal, but at least you know when a word is inserted for clarity (italicized).
