COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — Donald Trump, campaigning in Council Bluffs on Tuesday night, warned that accepting Syrian refugees into the United States could be like allowing foreign armies to build support within the country.

“It’ll never stop,” he said of the number of refugees admitted to the U.S. “And then one day we may have a small army in here. Or a big army in here. … I mean it’s, like, genius. It’s one of the greatest military strategies I’ve ever heard of. It truly is. It’s going to make the old Trojan horse, like, that’s peanuts compared to what they did to our country.”

He urged the couple thousand attendees — many of whom had crossed into Iowa from neighboring Nebraska — that the U.S. and its leaders must remain vigilant to protect the country from terror attacks.

Trump also lamented that the United States doesn’t accept Christian refugees into its borders.

“We take only the Muslims,” he said. “And you know what? Hey, that’s the way it is. OK? But we don’t take Christians. Now the Christians, they’re all in trouble over there. It’s a hellhole. The Christians are having their heads cut off. They’re having their heads — we don’t take the Christians. And if you’re Christian it’s almost impossible to get into this country. But if you’re Muslim you can come in.”

According to FactCheck.org, about 3% of the Syrian refugees admitted to the country since 2011 are Christians. And according to the Pew Research Center, 68% of all immigrants to the U.S. identify as Christian.

Trump also criticized his Democratic rivals, calling Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders more of a communist than a socialist and belittling his crowd sizes as inferior.

“Can you imagine?” Trump said of the possibility of former secretary of State Hillary Clintonas president. “Believe me. Women — if it’s got to be a woman, which I’m all in favor of some day — it shouldn’t be Hillary.”

Jay Johnsen, a farmer from Logan, Iowa, said he plans to caucus this year and probably will caucus for Trump.

“He’s operating on his own money and he’s kind of old school. Similar to Ronny Reagan or something,” Johnsen said. “Ain’t phony like the rest of them. … He’ll stand up to people. That’s what I like.”

Europe will soon become a caliphate with full shiria law and mass killings and destruction of churches, etc. will occur. No one will stand up or cares. It will happen here, Trump and others are warning us. America is well over half way trashed soon to fall over a cliff if this invasion continues, and all this welfare and Muslims breeding like rabbits. Politicians are bought off like Ryan, etc. to promote globalist agendas. If Trump is for real, those in power will have him removed or rig the votes like always.

It is obvious why Trump is so popular with real America! He and Cruz are saying what Americans feel and this is why the democrats and Gop rinos hate them. they are the only 2 i would vote for and right now trump is a little higher on my list.

Trump is really going full tilt appealing to the ill informed and bigoted. The only people in this country in danger of turning it into a fundamentalist religious dictatorship are the ones who hold actual political power. In this nation it is dominionists like Cruz and other “Social conservatives”. People who have an outright hostility to religious freedom and the separation of church and state.

Anyone thinking that the presence of a muslim minority is any kind of threat to our nation is a dangerously ignorant hysteric. The separation of church and state is not just something which annoys Christians seeking to hijack the public sphere. Its something which keeps ALL religious fanatics from trying to hijack the public sphere.

Trump is playing to bigotry in a way which the other candidates aren’t. Tapping a resource of angry, ignorant freedom hating voters the others didn’t bother with. Unless you are voting for Trump to preserve your fantastic wealth, he is playing you.

Trump is right, the refugees are deffently a trogan horse in the group. We aimeady have to my ISIS members that the corrent government administration should have deported them already. America is at the readiness to rebel against the governnment tyrany. Add the trogen horse and I garrentee a WAR.

    Larry…you’re an atheist, right?
    ..or maybe a liberal/progressive lurker..

..hmmmmm, I cannot help but notice your choice of political “ambush language”, denigrating/slandering those who support a Christian perspective w/ their political leanings.

..funny thing that! ‘Tis a hallmark of the vicious anti-Western Civilization talmudic-jews, per a small item of their modus operandii…here in this dying chunk of real-estate, formally known as America/USA…

…thanks to your types, of course!!!

  • Larry

I take offense at being called a lurker. I post on this site regularly.

There is nothing else in your post worth taking seriously.
