New York, NY (April 23, 2013)- What single practice can make you more relaxed, more energetic, happier, more popular and give you deeper sleep? No, it’s not yoga, meditation or marathon running. It’s gratitude. And there are plenty of scientific studies that back up those claims about the benefits of being thankful. Award-winning documentarian Debra Gonsher Vinik has made it easier than ever to make gratitude a part of daily life with her new video series “Taking Time to Be Grateful.”

Vinik’s collection of 2-3 minute videos features reflections on the many aspects of gratitude and reminds viewers to take a brief break each day to be thankful. They are available on Call on Faith, the all-video inspirational mobile app from Odyssey Networks in a special channel “Taking Time to Be Grateful.”

“We often think of gratitude as something esoteric or abstract, something to postpone for later, “says Vinik, who is the founder and president of Diva Communications. “We think of it as difficult to build time into our day for something so vital, when in fact it’s incredibly easy—something you can do in the time it takes to wait for your train or your morning coffee.”

“Time to Be Grateful” is one of 21 specialized video channels on the Call on Faith app, offering 200-plus videos featuring personal stories, music, meditation, prayer, daily inspiration and prayers from the world’s great faith traditions. The app may be downloaded free of charge on smartphones, tablets and the Nook e-reader through iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Blackberry World.
