Members of the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church celebrate the annual holiday of Maskel at the Maskel Square in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian Capital. The celebrations mark the finding of the “True Cross” by Roman Empress Helana (St. Helena) in the fourth century. The church follows the Gregorian Calendar and the feast is marked on September 14 each year.
