GRANITE BAY, Calif. — Amazing Facts International, one of the largest global Christian media ministries promoting the Bible Sabbath, has seen a massive surge in online viewing during the coronavirus outbreak. Unable to attend their usual houses of worship, tens of thousands now view the ministry’s weekly Bible study classes and online services streamed online via its official website and social media pages.

“God’s message is our mission, and has been since 1965,” said Pastor Doug Batchelor, president of Amazing Facts International and senior pastor of Granite Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church, both located in the Sacramento suburb. “During this tragic pandemic, we are grateful for an opportunity to reach tens of thousands worldwide with the everlasting gospel.”

In the most recent weekend, March 27–29, 430,000 people viewed the weekly Sabbath worship service led by Pastor Batchelor. Another 130,000 viewed a special Bible study, “ Prophecy and The Pandemic: Is There a Connection?” And 54,000 viewed the online Sabbath School Bible class presented weekly by the Granite Bay Church. Many of the streaming sessions took place apart from usual Sabbath (Saturday) viewing times.

Each of these services is professionally produced by a media team with deep experience. Long before the virus outbreak, Granite Bay services aired on Facebook, YouTube, the Amazing Facts TV channel, and the ministry’s website. Amazing Facts TV programs broadcast on cable and satellite networks all around the world, including Daystar, Lifetime Network, Trinity Broadcasting Network, The Word Network, SAFE TV, 3ABN and the HOPE channel, MeTV in Israel, Good News TV in India, and Lifestyle TV in Scandinavia. The programs are believed to be available in more than 2.3 billion households worldwide.

A weekly radio program, Bible Answers Live airs on more than 100 U.S. radio stations, the SiriusXM satellite network, and online every Sunday evening. The ministry began as a radio-based outreach, later expanding into television broadcasting. Along with weekly ministry programs, Amazing Facts has produced and aired dozens of series and special programs, the most recent being Kingdoms in Time, a documentary look at ancient biblical prophecies unfolding in today’s world. The ministry has been a longtime member of the National Religious Broadcasters, the USA’s premier organization of Christian broadcast ministries.

“For more than 50 years, Amazing Facts has proclaimed the good news of God’s love for humanity through broadcasting and the Internet,” Batchelor added. “ We’re grateful for the preparation we’ve had that is so vital during this time of global crisis, and we will strive to continue to bring comfort and confidence to people across the planet in the days and weeks ahead.”

Founded in 1965, Amazing Facts International shares the everlasting gospel around the world through broadcast media, Internet and social media streaming, as well as the printed word. Amazing Facts evangelists hold public Bible studies and presentations on prophecy across the United States, Canada, and internationally. The ministry also hosts free online Bible study courses.
