Marvin Sapp wins big at Stellars

Gospel singer Marvin Sapp gained the most honors at the recent Stellar Gospel Music Awards, including song of the year for “Never Would Have Made It.” Among his other awards were artist of the year, male vocalist of the year, and CD of the year.

Other Stellar winners included: Dorinda Clark-Cole, female vocalist of the year; Jessica Greene, new artist of the year; Jonathan Nelson featuring Purpose, group/duo of the year; and Ricky Dillard & New G, choir of the year.

The event, held Saturday at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn., honors black gospel artists.
