New Religion News Godcast!

Hey Folks,

We've got a brand spanking new Religion News Godcast up this week with some very special guests.

You've heard of the hyperlocal websites? Well, our partners have launched online communities dedicated to covering religion and ethics under the leadership of two veteran religion journalists.

We call them FAVs, which stands for Faith & Values. It's pronounced “faves.”

Amanda Green is running the show down in Wilmington, N.C. and Tracy Simmons leads the site in Spokane, Wash.

In the coming weeks and months, we'll be adding FAVs in Columbia, Mo. and Toledo, Ohio.

Our FAVs are doing cutting edge journalism and have an eclectic mix of contributors, from pagans to evangelicals to Buddhists and Catholics. The goal is to get more than 70 contributors for each site.

They're a really cool group of folks beginning a very cool adventure. Please consider subscribing to our podcast and check out their sites.

Cheers,

Daniel Burke

No paywalls here. Thanks to you.
As an independent nonprofit, RNS believes everyone should have access to coverage of religion that is fair, thoughtful and inclusive. That's why you will never hit a paywall on our site; you can read all the stories and columns you want, free of charge (and we hope you read a lot of them!)

But, of course, producing this journalism carries a high cost, to support the reporters, editors, columnists, and the behind-the-scenes staff that keep this site up and running. That's why we ask that if you can, you consider becoming one of our donors. Any amount helps, and because we're a nonprofit, all of it goes to support our mission: To produce thoughtful, factual coverage of religion that helps you better understand the world. Thank you for reading and supporting RNS.
