The Religion News Godcast welcomes The Welcome Wagon

This week on the Godcast, we welcome the Rev. Vito Aiuto.

Aiuto is senior pastor of Resurrection Presbyterian Church in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Aiuto and his wife, Monique, also form the indie folk/gospel duo The Welcome Wagon.

Since their founding by indie artist Sufjan Stevens (who also produced their first album) the band has garnered rave reviews from hard-to-please critics at Pitchfork and Paste magazine

The Welcome Wagon's new album, "Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices," was released in June by Stevens' Asthmatic Kitty lable.

Aiuto spoke to us about the connection between his pastoral and musical vocations, how the new album resembles a Presbyterian liturgy and why, on our best days, we shake with fear.

So, please come check out this week's Religion News Godcast
