I’ve been finishing a book manuscript these last two weeks (why do these things always take so much longer than I expect they will?), so I have been remiss in publicizing speaking appearances. I had a great time this weekend speaking at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in suburban Virginia! Sorry I forgot to mention it on the blog . . . .
So, this coming weekend I will be speaking twice about The Twible in the Cleveland area. Here’s the one for Friday evening:
Friday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m.
2537 Lee Road in Cleveland Heights
Topic: Getting Kids Interested in the Bible
And on Sunday morning:
Sunday, March 16 at 9:30 a.m.
Forest Hill Presbyterian Church
3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Heights
Topic: Can the Bible Take a Joke?
Hope to see some of you there. I’ll be signing books after both events.
Also, I’ve just confirmed that in April I will be speaking at the Festival of Faith and Writing at Calvin College (April 10-12). I’ll also be live blogging from the Festival, which will feature talks by Anne Lamott, James McBride, Rachel Held Evans, Miroslav Volf, and G. Willow Wilson. (I am geeking out because I get to interview Wilson onstage.)
