Beautiful, inspiring “I’m a Mormon” video on post-partum depression

Love this "I'm a Mormon" video in which former world squash champion Leilani Rorani talks about having postpartum depression after the birth of her third child -- and about how hard motherhood can be, alongside its many rewards.

In keeping with yesterday’s post about our need for real stories about Mormon mothers, here’s a lovely “I’m a Mormon” video from former world squash champion Leilani Rorani.

Leilani RoraniAccording to the Deseret News, this video was shared in a BYU Women’s Conference talk on Thursday.  In it, she talks about having postpartum depression after the birth of her third child — and about how hard motherhood can be, alongside its many rewards.

Several of the speakers at Women’s Conference addressed the topic of mental illness, including a professional counselor and a mother whose son has suffered from mental illness.

Kudos to these speakers and to Leilani Rorani for opening up about her struggles. I’m sure her story will inspire many people.
