"Selma" snubbed; Anderson beloved: GIF responses to Oscar noms

The Oscar nominations are out, and some of the snubs are so outrageous I had to let the GIFs speak for me.

Back in 2009, the Academy expanded their Best Picture nomination category from 5 possible selections to 10; two years later, they changed it to be “between five and ten,” which is one of the worst decisions I think they’ve ever made. Today, they bested (worsted?) that decision when they chose not to nominate David Oyewolo for his role as Martin Luther King, Jr., in Selma and passed over the film’s director, Ava DuVernay, while giving a nod to human glitterbomb Wes Anderson.

I don’t have many words for the decisions the Academy has made (and will announce at the Oscars, on February 22nd), so I decided to do something new today. I’m going to let the GIFs speak for me.
