(RNS) Google-owned company's invention is worthy of the ghost of Christmas future.

(RNS) The MIT-spinoff firm Boston Dynamics usually makes robots for the Department of Defense and commercial applications, but for Christmas it created three robotic ‘reindeer’ and had them pull Santa in a sleigh across a corporate lawn.

Is this a vision of the ghost of Christmas future, when robots also replace elves? Would artificial reindeer show up on NORAD radar? Will Santa follow Amazon’s lead and deliver presents by drone? These are questions only the jolly man in the red suit can answer.
