Ending the year with prayers for peace (MULTIMEDIA)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (RNS) On the eve of a new year, religious leaders from different traditions pray and meditate for peace.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (RNS) On the eve of a new year, religious leaders from different traditions shared a vision of peace.
Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, pagan and some who identify as “Spiritualists” gathered at the Rime Buddhist Center in Kansas City, Mo., to pray and meditate. The event, called “World Peace Meditation,” was sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council and the American Friends Service Committee.
