A new religious novel by author Carol Orsborn, “Angelica’s Last Breath”, shot to the top of its category on Amazon this week. The novel, inspired by “The Death of Ivan Ilyich”, Leo Tolstoy’s 1886 masterpiece, tells the story of a celebrated tai chi guru who over the course of her final breath confronts, absolves and ultimately transcends the disappointments and shortcomings in herself, her life story and her relationship with God.

Orsborn is the winner of Gold in the category of Consciously Aging for her book “The Spirituality of Age: A Seeker’s Guide to Growing Older” (with Robert L. Weber, Ph.D.) A thought leader in the field of aging and spirituality, she is editor of “Fierce with Age, The Digest of Boomer Wisdom, Inspiration and Spirituality“, and leads the Conscious Aging Book Club, with online and monthly meetings at Parnassus Books, Nashville.

“Angelica’s story inspires us to ask whether it could be possible to make peace with our past, present and future earlier than one’s last breath— with time to spare?” says Orsborn, who has her doctorate in the History and Critical Theory of Religion from Vanderbilt University and is the author of 30 books for and about the Boomer generation.

“Angelica’s Last Breath” is available as an eBook and quality paperback on Amazon.
