Job alert: Religion News Service seeks Sponsorship Manager

Religion News Service (RNS) seeks a Sponsorship Manager to launch and manage a digital advertising/sponsorship operation focused on revenue-generating products. This position will be responsible for developing sponsorship ideas that are cross-platform opportunities for advertisers including the website, podcasts, newsletters, and events. 

This remote part-time position will report directly to the CEO but will work closely with the operations and editorial teams.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Sourcing and developing relationships with sponsors and advertisers
  • Developing customized advertising solutions across all RNS platforms
  • Actively diversifying advertising client base by offering strategic solutions
  • Managing renewals and negotiations with clients
  • Developing new revenue-generating products in coordination with the operations and editorial teams 
  • Coordinating with Accounts Manager on fulfillment and tracking of all sponsorship agreements
  • Meet key performance metrics and goals
  • Aligning organizational mission and strategy with sponsorship and sales efforts
  • Effectively manage sales pipeline and revenue gaps using Salesforce 
  • Joining stakeholder meetings within the organization

Experience in sales and sponsorship work is a requirement. Experience in a nonprofit newsroom, and/or a religion-based organization is a plus, but not a requirement.
