Most of the Roman Catholic bishops' conferences around the world have missed a Vatican deadline on drawing up anti-abuse guidelines.

The Vatican has received its report card on financial transparency, but hid it under the couch where mom and dad can't see it. 

Liberal Catholics in Virginia don't want to sign a church fidelity oath


The Diocese of South Carolina (a state that's no stranger to secession) left the Episcopal Church's General Convention in protest yesterday.

The diocese says S.C. is not leaving the Episcopal Church, but will probably do something after Episcopalians approved a rite for blessing same-sex couples on Tuesday.

A draft of Egypt's new constitution says Islam is the state religion and “Christians and Jews shall resort to legislation derived from their own religions.”  

If that holds, I'll walk like an Egyptian to Cairo.
