Desert Stream Ministries announces launch of Living Waters Guidebook and videos

GRANDVIEW, Mo. — For the first time ever, Desert Stream Ministries will make its premier gift, Living Waters, available to everyone through an updated guidebook and expertly-filmed video series.

First authored by Andrew Comiskey 42 years ago, Living Waters has been used in Desert Stream’s signature closed small group format throughout the world, creating a space for merciful Jesus to meet people desperate for reconciliation at the deepest level possible. It is an in-depth 20-session group, with an accompanying workbook and video series, for any Christian seeking sexual and relational wholeness. Drawing upon the teachings of John Paul II, Leanne Payne, and Karl Barth, Living Waters is a spiritual, psychological, and moral guide to wholeness through Jesus Christ.

Previously, the Living Waters Guidebook has only been available for trained coordinators of Living Waters groups. Now, Desert Stream offers it all: a 20-chapter guidebook and 20-part video series featuring a male and female witness to elucidate each chapter. The Living Waters subtitle says it all: “Restoring Relational Integrity through the Broken Body of Christ.”

No paywalls here. Thanks to you.
As an independent nonprofit, RNS believes everyone should have access to coverage of religion that is fair, thoughtful and inclusive. That's why you will never hit a paywall on our site; you can read all the stories and columns you want, free of charge (and we hope you read a lot of them!)

But, of course, producing this journalism carries a high cost, to support the reporters, editors, columnists, and the behind-the-scenes staff that keep this site up and running. That's why we ask that if you can, you consider becoming one of our donors. Any amount helps, and because we're a nonprofit, all of it goes to support our mission: To produce thoughtful, factual coverage of religion that helps you better understand the world. Thank you for reading and supporting RNS.
