BURBANK, Calif. — Miki Raver is known for her critically acclaimed Jewish bestseller, Listen to Her Voice: Women of the Hebrew Bible, a lavishly illustrated gift book. On 9/11, after watching the horror at ground zero for countless hours, Miki Raver turned off the TV and opened her favorite Bible for comfort. Intending to read Ecclesiastes, she actually opened to Ecclesiasticus, which begins with the verse: “All Wisdom comes from the Eternal. She is with Him forever.”

“What I happened upon was perhaps the most potent homage to the empowered feminine in all biblical literature,” Raver writes. “On that horrific, tragic day of 9/11, despite all the darkness and sorrow in the world, I was reminded that there is a source of light and strength to be found in the Divine Feminine.”

In her stunning new book, She is Wisdom: A Celebration of the Feminine Divine, she pairs the verses she found on 9/11 with magnificent paintings by beloved artists including Monet, Chagall, Dali and Picasso. Each pairing is a meditation on the Feminine Divine. Ecclesiasticus is Holy Scripture for Catholics, written by a Jew. Women of all faith traditions will resonate to the powerful message that Holy Spirit is Inner Wisdom.

Miki Raver believes that the last frontier of feminism is bringing the feminine aspect of the Divine to light. She writes, “Ben Sira’s verses describing Wisdom are a precious legacy—a rare vision of divinity as take charge, take credit feminine energy…At a time when both women and nature are subjugated, we fervently call upon Her to renew and deepen the healing in our world.”

She is Wisdom: A Celebration of the Feminine Divine uses fine art, sacred verse, illuminating essays and Letters from Wisdom, a profound yet simple technique, as a conduit to spiritual connection with the feminine face of God.

Miki Raver has lectured and led women’s circles in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, India and Israel. She’s been interviewed on TV and radio in San Francisco and New York.

She is Wisdom: A Celebration of the Feminine Divine is available through Amazon and at www.listentohervoice.com. The price is $20.
