In the first part of the series, Acharya Das will discuss the topic of yoga. He will expound on some of the common misconceptions of what yoga is, give a description of the ultimate goal of yoga, and explain the process by which this goal can be achieved. Acharya Das will share that the message of yoga is a message of hope, self-discovery, and boundless joy. This talk will cover the yoga tradition of learning from a qualified teacher and reveal the benefits for a sincere seeker of finding an authentic spiritual master as a guide on the gradual, progressive journey towards transcendence.

Spirituality is the topic of the second part of the series. Spirituality is broadly defined as including a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves—typically involving a search for the meaning in life. Acharya Das will explain the differences between the material and spiritual energies and contrast the materialistic and spiritual world-views.

During Part Three, the topic of enlightenment is discussed.  Viewers will explore the foundation of enlightenment and self-realization, which is the understanding that a person is not the material body nor the mind—but rather a spiritual being. From this understanding, that a person is not matter, but is the spiritual occupant of the body, Acharya Das will explain how the yoga view of the self influences how a person determines their purpose in life, where they seek happiness, and how they relate to others and the world around them. To discover the answer to the question, “Who Am I?” Acharya Das examines three key aspects of the living being; their essence, position, and function.

In the fourth and final part of this series, Acharya Das delves into the topic of God. In particular, the question, “Is there a God or Absolute Truth?” is addressed.  From the yoga perspective, he will explain the three levels of God realization, namely Brahman, Paramatma, and Bhagavan, and describes the experience and consciousness that result from these different levels of realization.
