LOS ANGELES – Salt Lake City attorney Denver Snuffer Jr. has announced the schedule for his much-anticipated speaking tour to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Christian Reformation, including dates in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Atlanta. The author of 19 volumes on the subject, with an extensive background on the reformation movements now underway, he offers a non-denominational review of Christian history, the Reformation, Christianity since the Reformation, and the current Restoration movement.

This speaking tour honors the contributions of the greatest influencers of the Reformation, including St. Francis of Assisi, Luther, Tyndale, Wesley, Knox, Williams, Joseph Smith, and others. He illustrates how God continues to work in a most unlikely way among people of faith today. Snuffer declares: “I believe Roger Williams foresaw the need for Joseph Smith. I believe Joseph Smith was an authentic Christian messenger. But today’s Mormonism is a perverse, corrupt and deformed relic altogether misrepresenting Joseph Smith and the Christianity Joseph was restoring.”

In his labor to honor the roots of Christianity, Snuffer presents compelling reasons to believe in Jesus Christ today more than ever. He does not attempt to influence listeners to join, or to leave, any church; instead he helps those from myriad Christian denominations understand others whose beliefs reckon from very different traditions than their own. “He brings a unique view of the many ways God is working today to establish common ground and unite people of faith worldwide” observed Alan Van Leer, one of the many volunteers involved in this commemoration tour.

According to Snuffer, “Christians have always thought Christ would return soon. Even the Apostle Paul wrote as if it may happen in his day. But Christ’s statements about the Second Coming always referred to a single generation who would witness signs in the heavens above and the earth below. Now that we witness what Christ described as the ‘perplexity of nations with distress,’ Christians need to take heart, renew their confidence in the Lord, and to look up and be waiting for His return.”

About the Speaker: A lifelong student of religion, Snuffer hails from a Baptist upbringing, studied at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, received his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University, and was recently excommunicated from the LDS church following the publication of one of his books. It is his hope that Christians everywhere may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 15:6).

Dates, Times and Locations: All three lectures are free and open to the public. To learn more about the Christian Reformation, the speaker, or for directions and parking information, please visit www.christianreformation500years.info.
