SAN FRANCISCO – Tyler Blanski was always a seeker. From his youth in a fundamentalist Baptist home, to his years as a hipster making music, his heart was being pursued, but he didn’t quite know by what. Blanski’s new book, AN IMMOVABLE FEAST:  How I Gave Up Spirituality for a Life of Religious Abundance, tells the story of how one young man learned that the one thing he had disdained most, religion, would ultimately become his salvation.

Blanski was quite content to live what he considered a “spiritual” life. He believed in God, read the Bible and wanted to be a good person. But why was his heart restless? Determined to find the answers, Blanski would embark on a journey that would take him to a place that he never would have imagined. AN IMMOVABLE FEAST chronicles Blanski’s life and modern conversion story in a beautiful and compelling fashion.

Before finding his way to the Catholic Church, Blanski did much of his seeking as an Anglican seminarian. It was there that he wrestled with his questions about Mary, the Eucharist, papal authority and more. The chapters of AN IMMOVABLE FEAST in which Blanski explains how he came to see the truth in these Catholic teachings are must-reads for new and seasoned Catholics alike.
