NationsUniversity accredited by national financial accountability organization

NEW ORLEANS — The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) announced today the accreditation of NationsUniversity of New Orleans, LA.

ECFA accreditation is based on the ECFA Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™, including financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fundraising.

NationsUniversity joins a growing number of Christ-centered churches and ministries across America, supported by over 27 million donors that have earned the right to display the ECFA seal. When an organization is accredited by ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability.

“We are pleased to accredit a ministry committed to build authentic faith and train Christian leaders around the world through affordable, accessible higher education, utilizing distance learning,” said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.

Founded in 1995, NationsUniversity’s goal is to build faith by focusing on both knowledge of biblical text and personal spiritual formation and to train Christian leaders by equipping students with the knowledge and skills to serve as Christian leaders.

ECFA, founded in 1979, provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with the ECFA Standards pertaining to financial accountability, fundraising and board governance. No paywalls here. Thanks to you.
As an independent nonprofit, RNS believes everyone should have access to coverage of religion that is fair, thoughtful and inclusive. That's why you will never hit a paywall on our site; you can read all the stories and columns you want, free of charge (and we hope you read a lot of them!)

But, of course, producing this journalism carries a high cost, to support the reporters, editors, columnists, and the behind-the-scenes staff that keep this site up and running. That's why we ask that if you can, you consider becoming one of our donors. Any amount helps, and because we're a nonprofit, all of it goes to support our mission: To produce thoughtful, factual coverage of religion that helps you better understand the world. Thank you for reading and supporting RNS.
