Dear Pope Francis declared 2017 Book of the Year by Association of Catholic Publishers

Every spring the best books in Catholic publishing are celebrated in the Excellence in Publishing awards from the Association of Catholic Publishers. This year, the New York Times best-selling book Dear Pope Francis: The Pope Answers Letters from Children Around the World was awarded first place in the Children’s category and the Spanish edition, Querido Papa Francisco, was awarded first place in the Spanish language category. The Book of the Year is selected from the first place winners in eleven categories.

This year, the New York Times best-selling book Dear Pope Francis: The Pope Answers Letters from Children Around the World was awarded first place in the Children’s category and the Spanish edition, Querido Papa Francisco, was awarded first place in the Spanish language category. The Book of the Year is selected from the first place winners in eleven categories.

The book consists of the Pope’s personal responses to thirty hand-written letters and drawings from children ages six to thirteen from every region of the globe.
